Steve Evans Limps Out Of Friendly
THE big worry from last night's friendly with the Wingmakers at Broughton was that Steve Evans only lasted seven minutes of the game before heading for the sidelines and being replaced by Jamie Price.
Recently selected for the up coming game Wales international against Bulgaria, Steve complained of pain in his foot, although he said it was not the same ankle injury that had caused him to miss three weeks of the pre-season.
Physio Mike Williams said that Steve had talked about a soreness in the tendons on the side of the leg that control the movement of the foot in the warm up and a few minutes into the match felt it was getting no better, so decided to come off, rather than risk doing any further damage.
Steve did leave the ground hoping the problem was not too serious, but this will have been an obvious concern to the watching Brian Carey and also to Wales, as they head to eastern Europe next week for a friendly international in Burgas.
