Two second-half goals from Liam Hatch gave high-flyers Barnet a comfortable win at the Racecourse, a result that drops us back into 23rd place in the League Two table as Lincoln managed a point at home to Peterborough.

Reds boss Brian Carey gave an honest assessment of another disappointing home result:

"That is another home defeat and we just haven't performed at home this season.

"At home we have made things really difficult for ourselves.

"There were one or two decent performances but not too many can hold their heads up high. There were too many who showed today that it doesn't matter what goes on between a Monday and a Friday but it is what happens on a Saturday that counts.

"At the moment we just looked a shadow of ourselves.

"We were slow to start with and did okay during the first half without really busting a gut and we got in there second-half but it was hard work all round.

"We had a couple of chances but really need to get the first goal. That didn't come, but once they got their first goal it was evident for everyone to see that as a collective our heads went down. We needed our characters to emerge and stand up strong, we had some but not too many.

"I didn't get the response that I wanted. I brought lads on off the bench to try and liven things up but we didn't get the response that we needed. Once we conceded the first goal went in I was disappointed with the reaction.

"I know that next week we will go to Notts County and will be a different team. I have just said that to the lads, that we will go away to Notts County and it will be totally different.

"We've got to get over whatever it is, we're just not showing the Wrexham public what we are all about, I know that we're not, there is something the matter with us and I've got to get to the bottom of it and find out what it is. There is something not right and we are not showing the Wrexham public what we are capable of.

"I can't focus on what may or may not be going to happen in the future, I've got a job to do and I intend doing it. What will be will be upstairs.

"I have been in the game long enough to know what happens and there has been enough evidence already this season. I've got a job to do and funnily enough after a 2-0 defeat like that you will think I am stupid but I don't think that we are that far away. I'm probably talking about the evidence that we have seen away from home this season, but most people will think 'what am I talking about', because they will only have seen us at home.

"It is not about me, I will just keep going, I'm quite resilient and I've got a job to do.

"If performances and results like that carry on then I probably won't be here myself, you've got to be realistic about these things, and I am just gutted for the fans that we are not giving them what we are capable of. We are doing it Monday to Friday, we are doing it away from home, but we are certainly not doing it here.

"We have got a few players who are available (for a move), you want every player to be a saleable asset really.

"I want to be able to chop and change things around and I have got a couple of players lined up to come in but sadly, we didn't have them today. We missed the energy of Robbie Garrett in midfield today and Conall is injured but I don't want to go down the road of excuses, lets just deal with the facts.

"Gaz Evans is going to be a big, big player for us but he is just a little bit short of self belief at the moment. He was a bright spark today and is so capable of more that I think he will be a big player for the club in the future, he has got all the attributes and it's a shame that he is having to come into the team to shore it up if you like. He should come into the team when we are doing well so we can see the best of him.

"Silvio did all right today but I know that he is going to take some time to settle in and get use to the pace of the game. If you look back at Dennis (Lawrence), Carlos (Edwards) and Hector (Sam) when they arrived it took them six months to a year to settle in."
