Buckley Reds Make Contribution
AT half time during the Brentford game, the Buckley & District Reds made a presentation of £750 to Steve Cooper from the club's Centre of Excellence.
This money was gratefully accepted by Steve, who thanks the Buckley Reds for the efforts in raising the cash and deciding to assist the Centre in this generous manner.
"I was approached by them and asked if the could help out," he said.
"We have decided to use the money towards buying a number of extras for the junior players, such as bibs, cones, sprinting poles, etc.
"This has been a great help to us, as these items, while not the most glamorous of things, will help us get extra quality out of our sessions with the youngsters at Colliers Park.
"Please pass on my thanks to everyone who contributed to raising such a magnificent amount and please be assured it will be put to good use."
The Buckley & District Reds will be their second anniversary in January and are very proud of their achievements in this short time since they were formed.
Their AGM is on January 16 2008 and when existing members will be able to re-join, while new members are also encouraged to join.
