ONE bit of good news from Wednesday night - and there weren't many - is that Steve Evans' late red card at Llanelli will not affect the player's eligibility for upcoming Football League games.

As the FAW Premier Cup has its own disciplinary system, bookings and sendings-off in that competition only affect future Premier Cup games.

Steve will have to serve a suspension for his dismissal at Stebonheath Park, but only when he next takes part in the Premier Cup. Therefore there is no direct problem for him during the next few Football League games.

It worked the other way for Chris Llewellyn, who started a one-match suspension last Saturday, but with no game at the weekend it will now carry over into the Grimsby Town match.

As the Llanelli game did not come under the same disciplinary procedures, that match did not count against his ban and he was therefore able to face the Welsh Premier League club, but will sit out our visit to the Mariners.

Pay attention, we'll be asking questions later!
