DEFENDER Mike Williams didn't return home on the team bus from Brentford after Saturday's game, instead he was whisked down the M4 to Cardiff to join up with the Wales U21 squad preparing for their Euro qualifiers with Bosnia on Wednesday.

With this game in Sarajevo being a competitive match, we have to release the player four days before hand, which means he will miss our vital Easter Monday clash with Dagenham & Redbridge at the Racecourse.

Injuries to Carl Tremarco and Neil Taylor now mean a headache for manager Brian Little as he waits to see if either player will be fit enough to act as direct cover for the absent Williams on the left side of defence.

Both have been making steady progress after being substituted early in last weekend's win over Bury and will be given every opportunity to show they are fit enough to face the Daggers.

Neither travelled to London on Saturday, remaining at home for a couple of extra days rest.

Physio Mel Pejic was working with the pair again on Sunday and said that a decision on their fitness could be left until the hours before kick-off.
