THE club is very pleased to announce that manager Brian Little has reached agreement over a new long-term deal to remain as manager at the Racecourse Ground and has signed a two-year contract.

"I have agreed with the club to sign a new deal and I think it is important from everybody's point of view to get some stability back here," said Brian.

"My job now is to really resurrect things on the field, irrespective of what division we are in next year and we still have a number of games in which to save ourselves.

"I would like to think there are some happy supporters on hearing this news, but I accept that some will be disappointed with results over the last three months.

"What I would say is that our current plight is something that has gone for the last three years and it is something we have tried hard to put right in a short space of time.

"To those supporters who might be a little critical of myself, I would say 'look judge me on the team I put together next season'.

"I feel that is the important message to those, but to the others, and everyone, I feel it's vital for the club to show some stability.

"My job is to build on the field of play, and I'm looking forward to next season, irrespective of what happens in our last five games of this year, building an exciting, strong team that will be very competitive and successful.

"After the last few years, everybody deserves a team on the pitch that wins football matches and that's exactly what I'll be looking to try and do next season."
