Dons Forward Collects League 2 Title
MILTON KEYNES DONS striker Aaron Wilbraham has won the April Powerade Player of the Month Award in Coca-Cola League 2.
Wilbraham was in outstanding form during April helping keep his side remain undefeated in the month.The 28-year-old front man netted a brace in the Dons home win over Wrexham and his vital goals against Wycombe Wanderers and Morecambe ensured his side captured the Coca-Cola League 2 title.
Also short-listed for the April award were Gary Hooper of Hereford United, Craig McKail-Smith of Peterborough United and Wycombe Wanderers' Scott McGleish.
James Beattie of Sheffield United won the award in the Championship and Dougie Freedman of Leeds United (on loan from Crystal Palace) landed the League 1 accolade.
The Powerade Awards panel, chaired by Sky Sports pundit and Coca-Cola Ambassador Chris Kamara, made the decision.The panel also includes Paul Hetherington, Chairman of the Football Writers' Association, Malcolm Clarke, Chairman of the Football Supporters' Federation and James Williams, Head of Brand Experience, Coca-Cola Great Britain.
