FOLLOWING further talks with centre half Steve Evans today, manager Brian Little has asked the Wales international to take time out to consider his future and if he wants to remain with the club following the end of his current contract this summer.

With the player a regular in John Toshack's senior squad, the boss wants to make sure that Steve is happy to stay and can count on him for next season.

As an international player, Steve could well become the target for other clubs and as such might feel that his career lies in a different direction.

"We have spoken to Steve and his representatives, and we are looking at making a decision in the short-term, to this end we have agreed to meet again next week to see where we are at," said the manager.

"If Steve wants to stay, then I hope we could come to an agreement over a new contract.

"If not, than at least we all know where we stand and can move on from there."
