Dragons Add A Sixth New Signing
FOLLOWING the departure of one centre-half, manager Brian Little wasted no time in bringing onboard another defender and welcomed Nat Brown to pre-season training this morning.
The former Huddersfield Town youngster has been with Lincoln City for the past three seasons and had a year left on his contract at Sincil Bank, but opted to cancel that deal yesterday in order to make the switch to Wrexham.
Standing at 6'2" tall, Nat recently celebrated his 27th birthday, and will be one of the linchpins that Brian Little will be building his defence upon during the coming season.
He signed for Huddersfield as a junior and worked his way through the ranks at the McAlpine Stadium before finally making his debut in September 2002 and playing in over 80 games in the following three seasons.
In the summer of 2005, he switched to Lincoln on a one-year deal which was then extended for a further season, before he penned a two-year contract last year.
Strangely enough, he has three times worked with current Lincoln manger Peter Jackson, twice at Huddersfield Town and then again when the former Chester player also arrived at Sincil Bank last October.
During his time with the Imps, Nat appeared in over 100 games.
This brings to six the number of new players who will begin pre-season training today, with Nat joining Tom Kearney, Shaun Whalley, Kyle Critchell, Simon Brown and Jefferson Louis.
With youngsters Chris Marriott and Chris Maxwell as starting their professional careers, there will be plenty of new faces around Colliers Park.
