SPORTS Scientist Andy O'Boyle is leaving the club after being offered a similar position by Championship side Coventry City and goes immediately to join their pre-season trip to Austria.

Andy had already rejected the chance of teaming up with a Premiership club, but has now decided to move on.

"I have really enjoyed my time with Wrexham and just wish things had turned out differently last year," he said.

"We were preparing for the coming season when I got a call from Coventry and after a lot of thought I've decided I really couldn't pass up another opportunity.

"It's a new challenge for me and one I'm looking forward to.

"I wish everyone at Wrexham all the best for the future and I'll get along to games whenever I can."

Andy qualified from Liverpool University, having already spent sometime with the Wrexham FC Centre of Excellence during his training, and was then employed by Manchester United at their Academy.

When Ben McKenzie left us to join Peterborough United some 18 months ago, the club turned to Andy to bring him back to Colliers Park.

Everyone at Wrexham would like to thank Andy for all his efforts on behalf of the club and we wish him well for his future.
