Blue Square Fixtures 2008/09
THE Dragons kick off their Blue Square Premier campaign with a home tie against Stevenage Borough on Saturday, 9 August, before making their first appearance on Setanta with a visit to York City the following Thursday evening.
There is then a quick turnaround as we head from Kitkat Crescent to Nene Park within 48 hours for match with Rushden & Diamonds on Saturday 16 August.
Our second home match will also be shown on Setanta, when Oxford United are the visitors to the Racecourse on Thursday, 21 August.
It is quite a tough opening set of games, as all four opponents would hope to be up their challenging come the end of the season.
The first of our derbies comes on August Bank Holiday Monday, when we head down the M56 to Altrincham for a 3.00pm kick-off.
Boxing Day and New Year's Day see us have a double-header against Barrow, with our trip to Holker Street on 26 December and then host the Bluebirds on 1 January.
Easter sees us travelling to Oxford United on Saturday, 11 April before entertaining Altrincham on Easter Monday.
The season draws to a close on Saturday, 25 April with a home game against Weymouth.
Our two local derbies against Northwich Victoria come at the Victoria Stadium on Tuesday, 9 December and at the Racecourse on Tuesday, 27 January.
