WREXHAM and Tranmere Rovers fought out a 0-0 draw in this lunchtime's practice match at Colliers Park.

Played over three 30 minute periods, Rovers changed their line-up at the end of each period, while Wrexham chose to make a full change after 45 minutes worth of play.

Kyle Critchell was the only player to get through the full 90 minutes, playing the first 45 on the right wing and then switching to right back for the rest of the game.

Keeper Anthony Williams was then call upon to make a diving save, pushing the ball round a post for a corner.

Then Marc Williams watched on as his shot crashed against a Tranmere post and rebounded into play.

Following the changeover of personnel the play continued to be fairly even, although the visitors looked the more likely to score, but a succession of crosses and shots failed to trouble the Wrexham goalkeeper as the back line did their job.

It was Jefferson Louis who came closest to breaking the deadlock in the final period, when his 20-yard effort whistled low passed a post.

After his starring role in defence on Saturday, Nat Brown was deployed in midfield.

Overall, another good work in which the Reds once again held their own against a Football League side.
