WREXHAM will have to find their best form over the coming weeks as they start a tough run of fixtures with a trip to Peterborough United this Saturday (3.00pm).

After gaining eight points from the last four games, Brian Little's side have found form at the right time, with difficult away trips to MK Dons and Hereford United in the next couple of weeks.

After excellent victories over MK Dons and Darlington, Wrexham again face one of League Two's promotion-chasing sides in Darren Ferguson's Peterborough United.

Posh currently occupy 4th position in the league table, one point behind Darlington and Rotherham United, and nine adrift of leaders MK Dons.

Manager Ferguson will look for his side to extend their winning run to four league games, after recent victories over Rochdale (2-0), Rotherham United (3-1) and Accrington Stanley (8-2).

Much of United's success has been down to their formidable home form. Posh have the best home record in the division with ten wins from their fifteen games at London Road.

The Dragons will have to be wary of the threat of attacking trio Aaron McLean, George Boyd and Craig Mackail-Smith, who have scored 52 goals between them so far this season in all competitions.

Former Grays Athletic striker McLean has helped himself to 21 league goals so far, the same total as Chesterfield's Jack Lester.

Posh have strengthened their side further during the January transfer window, securing the services of striker Liam Hatch from Barnet (£150,000) and goalkeeper Joe Lewis from Norwich City (£400,000).

Brian Little may decide to change his side once more, with players coming back from injury or suspension. Richard Hope played for the reserves against Tranmere in midweek, after missing the Darlington game following his sending off against Morecambe.

Robert Duffy staked his claim for a first appearance with two goals, taking his tally to four in his two reserve outings. Eifion Williams also made his long awaited return from a hamstring injury that has sidelined him for two months.

Last Time Out

This will be the Dragons' second visit to London Road this season after the sides met in the first round of the FA Cup. It only took 85 seconds for Posh to break the deadlock through Craig Mackail-Smith, and things did not get any better for the travelling Dragons fans.

Mackail-Smith helped himself to a hat-trick shortly after half time, before Neil Roberts got one back with 25 minutes left. Aaron McLean made sure of a comfortable win with the home side's fourth just before the end.
