Two days after failing to take any points from Brentford, WREXHAM will hope for a major improvement when they take on Dagenham and Redbridge at the Racecourse (3.00pm).

With ten games left to play, the Dragons need to pick up points fast if they are to find their way out of the League Two relegation zone. It was not a great weekend for the bottom clubs with Macclesfield Town and Mansfield Town also losing, so the Dragons remain six points from safety.

Dagenham and Redbridge currently lie in 20th position in League Two, but have done their chances of survival a power of good through a recent run of form. The Daggers went on a five-match winning run during February, starting with a 6-2 win over Chester City.

Victories over Grimsby Town, Morecambe, Hereford United and Bradford City then followed, and though John Still's side have only taken one point from their last four games, the streak of wins has given them a great chance of securing League Two football for next season.

The Daggers came from behind to gain a point against Shrewsbury Town in their last game, Paul Benson coming off the bench to score the equaliser.

The striker has been a long term absentee but is likely to start against the Dragons with Jon Nurse away on international duty with Barbados.

Similarly Wrexham will have to make at least one change due to an international fixture - Mike Williams will be unavailable due to his inclusion in the Wales u-21 side.

Carl Tremarco and Neil Taylor failed to make the squad for the Brentford game but could be available for this game providing they recover in time from their respective injuries.

Stuart Nicholson has recovered from a virus and will return to the squad.

Last Time Out

It was an away trip to forget when Wrexham travelled to face the Daggers back in December. The Dragons went behind midway through the first half after a Steve Evans own goal, and the result was put beyond doubt when Ben Strevens and Jamie Taylor found the net late on, securing a 3-0 victory.
