Accrington StanleyAFTER suffering the heartbreak of relegation from the Football League, WREXHAM look to salvage some pride from their final two games of the season, starting with the visit of Accrington Stanley this Saturday (3.00pm).

Goals from Gary Hooper and Theo Robinson gave third-placed Hereford United the victory in midweek, and ended Wrexham fans' hopes of a late season escape from relegation.

Before the final day trip to Lincoln City, the Dragons take on John Coleman's Accrington Stanley, who are assured of League Two football next season.

Stanley currently lie in 18th position, the same place they ended last season following promotion back to the Football League.

John Coleman's side have lost their last two games, going down to Barnet (0-2) and Notts County (0-1) but an important victory over Dagenham and Redbridge (1-0) earlier this month put them in a more comfortable position amongst the sides fighting against relegation.

Accrington Stanley have a decent record away from home with eight wins, but have also been on a couple of heavy defeats, going down 5-0 at MK Dons and 8-2 at Peterborough United.

Last Time Out

Wrexham took all three points when they travelled to the Fraser Eagle Stadium back in October. Neil Roberts put the away side ahead with a precise shot before half time, and doubled the Dragons' advantage with a classy volley midway through the second half.

Despite creating more chances, Wrexham could not add to their lead and had to settle for a 2-0 victory.
