An exciting young left winger, Matty Done is a prduct of Wrexham's youth policy who looks to have a bright future ahead of him.
He made his debut just a month after his seventeenth birthday, coming on as a substitute in a home Carling Cup defeat to Doncaster Rovers and made a series of appearances from the bench as the season progressed, particularly catching the eye with a dashing display against Oxford.
However, he had to wait until the last game of the season for his first start, at Darlington, when he showed that his pace was a dangerous weapon when deployed against fresh defenders too.
Denis Smith's regard for his potential was such that Done's development was a factor in his changing the side's formation to 4-4-2 from 3-5-2. He marked his first home start with a typically well-struck goal against Grimsby, and also hit the net in a memorable 4-1 victory at Sheffield Wednesday in the Carling Cup.
