Rochdale 0 Wrexham - Pontin's League
WREXHAM RESERVES recorded a rare win, while also completing a double over the second string of Rochdale during this afternoon's Pontin's League fixture held in Rawtenstall.
Manager Denis Smith and Wales U21 boss Brian Flynn were at Rossendale United's ground to watch Joey Jones' boys earn a vital three points and to move away from the bottom of the Division One West table.
Andy Dibble was the only senior player on duty, as he continues his recover from a thigh strain which has kept him away from first team duties since the turn of the year.
As it was, he had a quiet afternoon with little to do, apart from watching on as second year striker Jamie Reed notched a double to earn his side a 2-0 victory at Dark Lane.
With just two substitutes available to Joey and one of them was Ryan Harrison, who was prepared to come and take up an outfield role if necessary, the young Dragons fought hard and secured the win with Reed's second half double, one of which came from the penalty spot.
