BuryUp against a much more experienced Bury side, Joey Jones was delighted with the manner in which his young charges coped with the likes of Stuart Barlow, Colin Woodthorpe, Tom Youngs and Tom Kennedy.

For the first 20 minutes they did stand off their visitors, bjut the lads settled to their task and as the game wore on were creating chances.

On 38 minutes, Phil Gray's persistance almost paid off when his mazey run on the right ended with a pin point cross that left Aaron Braisdell with a simple looking chance to head home from six-yards, but the striker was marginally off target.

Winger Matty Done did have the ball in the back of the net, but a linesman's flag beat him on a narrow decision following a good build up.

The Shakers came out determined at the start of the second period the combination of Barlow and Youngs through the middle did upset the Wrexham defence. Some poor shooting meant Michael Jones was having a less stressful game than he might have anticipated.

Finally a goal did arrive and it went to substitute striker Jamie Reed, who was on target when a corner eventually dropped to him inside the six-yard box. That was on 81 minutes and should have been enough to have decided the game's outcome.

It was though left to old stager Stuart Barlow to drag his side level, when he was on hand to captialise on a poor shot from Ben Sedgemore with just two minutes remaining. That initial effort was miscued and even then Barlow's shot was directly keeper jones, but it somehow squirmed through the yung keeper and over the line for an equaliser.
